Mountlake Terrace, Washington

I’m from Uzbekistan. I love hiking, exploring new places, experimenting with technology, and reading about human rights. Having experienced public, private, international, and local school systems, I’ve seen firsthand the gaps in education. Moving back and forth between the city center and the remote mountain regions my parents are from, I learned that addressing educational challenges requires an understanding of not only technology but also its underlying socio-economic context.
At Duke, I want to explore the social, legal, and economic implications of my inventions, as well as their technological aspects. By majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in education, I aim to work on the next generation of edtech solutions.
